Galmdug stae of Somalia on Saturday conducted the election of the last two senators in the upper house, completing the 54 seats in Somalia’s Upper House.
Senator Abdi Qaybdiid was re-elected as a senator in the Upper House, while Senator Abdi Osman Hared, was also elected to the last seat in the Upper House of the Parliament of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
The country’s electoral commission announced that December 24 2021 will be the last day to conclude the parliamentary elections.
However, analysts predict that the election of the lower House could end mid next year, given the slow process the elections are being undertaken.
